Taco Ring

I decided that I might do a few cooking posts like the Pioneer Woman. I am so addicted to her site! Her cooking site is great, so I thought I would try. I didn't, however, take enough pictures while cooking. So it will be a little different. A favorite meal around here is the Taco Ring. I've always liked the way the Taco Ring looks, and it tastes great too!

To start, you will need 1 lb of hamburger, 2 TBSP taco seasoning, water, shredded cheese, 2 pkgs of crescent rolls, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream.

Brown the hamburger in a skillet and drain the fat. Put the hamburger into a bowl and add about 2 Tablespoons of taco seasoning (you can add more if so desired), 2 Tablespoons of water, and however much cheese you like.

Open the crescent rolls and put the wide side down on a round baking pan (you can use a square one, or whatever you like), layering the edges over one another with the pointy side pointing out (see picture below since I forgot to take one at these stages...)

After you have a ring made, scoop the hamburger mixture onto the wide part of the crescent rolls like so:

Once you have all of the ring covered, take the pointy part of the crescent roll and tuck it under the wide part. Stick it in the oven and cook it until the crescent rolls are brown - 375 degree (F) oven for about 16-18 minutes.

Here is what it looks like when it comes out:

I had one extra crescent roll, so I put it in the middle by itself.

Cut with a knife and serve with whatever taco toppings you like. Usually lettuce, tomato, and sour cream, but we didn't have lettuce that day, so it was just tomato and sour cream:

Mmmmm, good stuff. If you like onions, you can add them to the hamburger as well. I don't like em, so I don't use em. :)
